Kindergarten is
such an exciting
year! We go
over colors and
shapes and
practice
counting. We
begin writing
letters and
numbers as well
as memorize
Bible verses,
poems, and all
kinds of fun
songs. We not
only listen to
Bible stories
everyday, but
also work on
developing our
character and
behavior into
what God would
want.
There is a time
for art and
music to develop
our creative
skills. To
develop our
social and gross
motor skills
there is, of
course, time for
recess where the
children are
allowed to
freely interact
with each other.
To help support
and expand all
different skills
and knowledge
learned in the
classroom, we
have some kind
of "program" or
field trip every
month. Some
activities
include having
fun at the Red
Deer Farm or the
Philadelphia
Zoo. Some
activities, like
our Thanksgiving
Tea, allow us to
show off what we
have learned.
And there are
activities that
allow us to
share with
others such as
visiting "Your
Loving Choices"
and Loyalton
Nursing Home.
Kindergarten is
a great time of
having fun with
new friends and
learning a
foundation that
your child can
build upon
throughout his
or her entire
life.
